Key Performance Attributes
High stiffness imparts the structural rigidity required for tubular battery gauntlets — the cured film is intentionally stiff and brittle. Self-crosslinking chemistry means no external crosslinker is required. A-99 offers excellent acid resistance in sulphuric acid electrolyte, oxidation resistance for long-term durability inside lead-acid batteries, high thermal stability up to 215°C curing temperature, and controlled porosity that allows electrolyte flow while retaining active material. Method of Application
Step 1 — Impregnation: dip 100% PET woven tubular gauntlet fabric into A-99 emulsion, adjusting weight pick-up to 25–30% via padding rolls to achieve target stiffness. Step 2 — Drying: dry impregnated fabric at 70°C for 30 minutes. Step 3 — Cutting & Rodding: cut fabric to required dimensions and insert stainless steel rods into the gauntlet tubes. Step 4 — Curing: cure at 200–215°C for 10 minutes to activate crosslinking. Step 5 — Finishing: de-rod and pack.
Shelf Life & Storage
Four months in the original sealed container. Store in a cool, dry, shaded place at 5°C to 35°C. Protect from freezing. Available in 55 kg and 220 kg pack sizes.
